Spain are celebrating their second World Cup victory after capping off an illustrious run in international football by defeating Argentina 1-0 to claim the title at New Jersey Stadium in New York.
On Sunday, in front of 80,000 fans, La Roja dominated Argentina for much of the match and finally broke the deadlock.

Torres sinks Argentina
After 105 minutes of trying to break through the stubborn Argentine defence, Spain finally found a breakthrough through Barcelona’s Ferran Torres.
Pedro Polo whipped the ball into the box, which found Nico Williams at the back post. The Athletic Bilbao winger capitalized on his movement with a header, nodding the ball back into the penalty area.
Torres took a free shot and smashed the ball into the roof of the net, giving Spain the lead.
Fernandez sees red
Spain suffocated Argentina with endless passing and abundant possession.
That pressure finally became evident when Enzo Fernandes was sent off for a blatant foul on Pau Kvarsi.
Fernandes, who had already been given a yellow, jumped in for the challenge, but missed the ball completely, sending Kvarsi flying into the air.
Argentina had no choice but to survive extra time with 10 men, but could not hold on as Torres finally broke his resistance.
