When Brooks Nader left her Louisiana home at age 19 to pursue her modeling dreams, she knew she had to make a big deal. “When I moved to New York, my dad said, ‘You’re living on a full scholarship. I don’t have any money to support you in New York. You should get a boyfriend,'” she explained to People magazine. “Thank God I did it just to pay the rent.”
But she definitely fell in love with advertising executive Billie Hare, whom she married in December 2019 in New Orleans’ French Quarter.
Her mother and father weren’t too thrilled to hear about the separation almost five years later. “If I told my parents I was getting a divorce, they would think I killed someone,” she said of the reality series Love Thy Nader, which she filmed with sisters Sarah Jane Nader, Grace Ann Nader and Mary Holland Nader. “They were like, ‘This is the worst decision ever. Divorce is a sin.'”
But Sports Illustrated’s swimsuit models will be a little different. “Once I got to the other side, I realized, ‘Wait, I get it. I can do anything if I put my mind to it,'” she recalled on Bustle 2025. “I’ve been with someone for 10 years and I’ve broken it off and I’m better off. I can get rid of people, I can start companies, I can get over anyone. It’s euphoria, that feeling.”
As for Billie, he continued to charm another reality star, announcing his engagement to Southern Charm alum Naomi Olindo in December 2025.
