Broadcast live from New York, Chloe Fineman will close the show.
The comedian announced he is leaving Saturday Night Live after the late-night variety show “Seven Amazing Seasons.”
On July 16, she wrote on Instagram, “I’ve decided it’s time to move on to the next chapter.” “It’s a cliché to say, but working at SNL was the greatest privilege of my life. I still can’t believe I got to be a part of it. I fell in love with this place as soon as I walked in the door.”
The 37-year-old went on to thank the show’s creator and longtime showrunner Lorne Michaels for giving her this opportunity, as well as everyone who worked behind the scenes to make it happen.
“Mr. Lorne (if you’re reading this on your own account), I want you to know that I’m forever in your debt,” she said. “Every day I was surrounded by some of the best people in the industry and was always amazed to see them do their jobs.”
“I sewed a JoJo Siwa costume in 10 hours,” she continued. “We open at 2pm on a cold Saturday, finishing up the VFX for the video a few minutes before the dress (I’m not sure if “finishing the VFX” is the right terminology, but you get the idea).
