Sarah’s role as Ferris’s cool, fun-loving girlfriend Sloane Peterson led to her breakout role, leading her to star opposite Jean-Claude Van Damme in the 1994 action hit Timecop.
She then played Harley Quinn in the short-lived TV series Birds of Prey and guest-starred on CSI:NY, before largely retiring from acting, but she told Glamor magazine in 2009 that she was still recognized because, “Most of the time, people think I went to high school with them.”
After a long time away from the spotlight, she returned to the film industry in 2025 with her latest film, The Life of Chuck. After getting in touch with director Mike Flanagan, “He said, ‘Well, are you sure you don’t want to work anymore?'” Mia explained to People. “And I said, ‘Oh, I don’t know.’ He said, ‘So what if I suggested something to you?’ I said, ‘Well, okay, if you do something, I’ll do it.’ ”
Sarah was married to Sean Connery’s son, Jason Connery, from 1996 to 2002, and welcomed their son, Dashiell Quinn Connery, in June 1997. In 2010, she married Brian Henson, the son of Muppets creator Jim Henson and chairman of the Jim Henson Company. The couple, who live in the UK, had a daughter, Amelia, in 2005.
