Lauren Sanchez Bezos brings explosive energy to Met Gala 2026 in curve-hugging dress
Lauren Sanchez Bezos was ready to stop, step back, and strike a pose ahead of the 2026 Met Gala.
On May 4, before Jeff Bezos’ wife took to the steps of New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art for a gala themed “Costume Art,” she found herself taking part in the preparations for a very unique type of party.
“I visited the New York Fire Department and received some training,” Lauren told Vogue. “This is probably the most unique Met preparation ever.”
The 56-year-old participated in a series of NYFD drills, even donning gear and practicing life-saving techniques while crawling through a smoke-filled obstacle course.
“It was a banana, but I loved it,” Lauren added. “I’ve probably lost about two pounds now.”
And the journalists weren’t just there for a reason, they were there as an opportunity to give back to the fire department.
“Yesterday I had the opportunity to train with @fdny for @learyfirefighters and @fdnyfoundation,” she wrote on Instagram on May 2, along with a video of the experience. “And let me tell you, they don’t play tricks.”
