Fortune fans know exactly what Bradway is referring to. The first season of Every Year After and its corresponding book—Following Percy and Sam’s love story, the second novel, and presumably the corresponding season, will focus on Charlie and his lover Alice Everly.
While New Lover’s casting hasn’t been officially decided yet, Fortune previously shared some insight into who they hope will play the role.
“Alice is someone who is really at a crossroads in her life,” Fortune told Swoon earlier this month. “She’s very sweet. She’s caring. She puts everyone before herself. She’s the one you need to stand behind. She’s totally different from the women.” every year thereafter. I think you need someone who shows softness but is very steely on the inside. ”
As Fortune magazine puts it, “She’s actually very, very strong.”
Meanwhile, other cast members are excited for some resolution in the next season.
“I think clearly the problem can be fixed, but I think it will require a lot of discussion.In an interview with E! News earlier this month, Cornette said of the characters’ current status: “I think they need to be friends again first before we can even think about moving forward as a couple.” So I’m really looking forward to seeing those relationships grow again, almost having to start from scratch.”
