‘Emily in Paris’ actor Jeremy O. Harris arrested in Japan on drug smuggling charges
Matt Prokop is starting the new year with new legal issues.
The High School Musical 3 actor was arrested in Victoria, Texas on December 24th and faces multiple charges including possession and promotion of child pornography, the Victoria County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to E! News for January 10th.
Additionally, the 35-year-old, who dated Sarah Hyland for nearly five years before breaking up in 2014, was charged with resisting arrest and violating a bail or protective order stemming from a 2024 lawsuit for resisting arrest and aggravated assault on a family member, the sheriff’s office told E! news. He remains in custody with bail set at $117,500.
Eh! The News reached out to Prokop for comment but did not receive a response.
Prokop, whose acting credits include Hannah Montana, Good Luck Charlie and the TV movie Geek Charming in which she starred opposite Hyland, has faced legal trouble in the past, having been granted a restraining order against the Modern Family alum in 2014, her lawyer confirmed to E! News at the time.
