Pulisic’s family roster includes his mother, Kelly Pulisic, and father, Mark Pulisic, who played soccer in college, as well as his younger sister, Devin Pulisic, and older brother, Chase Gallant. And until recently, his inner team also included Alexa Melton, whom he started dating after sliding into her DMs.
“I got a DM and I was like, ‘Who is this guy with 8 million followers and why is he DMing me?'” the pro golfer said in the 2024 Paramount+ docuseries Pulisic. “I scrolled through his old Instagram and I was like, ‘Oh, he’s a big-time soccer player.’
But earlier this year, news broke that Melton and Pulisic had broken up, sparking rumors that he had been unfaithful due to her cryptic Instagram messages. “This generational failure will be studied for years to come,” one commenter wrote, according to USA Today, to which the 25-year-old replied, “I was in Raya before Manse was over.” However, Melton later shut down speculation of wrongdoing.
“I made some comments about personal matters and they were taken out of context,” she wrote on her Instagram Story in April. “I received incorrect information. He is not a scammer. The rest of the story is not mine. Out of respect for Christian’s and my privacy, I will not discuss this matter further.”
Pulisic has remained mum about the breakup, but has expressed that he has nothing but respect for Melton.
“I only see her in the most positive way,” he told TIME in an article published in May. “She was so much fun and supported me in every way. She wanted to push me to enjoy my life a little more and do things with her and things in general. And I was grateful for that.”
