Real Zaragoza goalkeeper Esteban Andrada has been suspended for 13 games by the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) for punching an opponent after being sent off last week.
Andrada was shown a yellow card during Zaragoza’s 1-0 loss to Huesca in a derby match in the second round of La Liga, receiving his second caution in the 99th minute. However, instead of leaving the pitch, he ran to punch Huesca captain Jorge Pulido in the face, sparking a scuffle.

The goalkeeper had to be restrained before being taken to the dressing room by state security forces.
Pulido fell to the ground and a scuffle broke out between players and staff from both teams. Mr. Andrada later apologized for his actions.
The RFEF’s disciplinary committee ruled on Wednesday that the offense warranted a sanction of up to 12 games and an automatic one-game suspension for the sending off of the 35-year-old player, who is on loan from Monterrey in Mexico.
Huesca keeper Dani Jimenez was sent off for punching Andrada during the scuffle and received a four-game suspension.
Suspensions can be appealed.
Zaragoza’s Dani Tasende has been handed a two-match suspension after receiving a red card for kicking an opponent in the foot after a VAR review of the scuffle.
Rayo Vallecano player Isi Palazon has been suspended for seven games after making a harsh complaint against the referee during Sunday’s 3-3 draw with Real Sociedad.
He had already been substituted, but was sent off for complaining from the bench in the final minutes.
A video review showed Sociedad were awarded a penalty due to an accident early in the build-up, and Rayo’s goal was disallowed.
