Whitney Leavitt concludes “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.”
The 32-year-old announced during her final performance as Roxie Hart on Broadway’s Chicago that she was leaving the Hulu series, which ran for four seasons. Her rep also confirmed to Deadline that she is leaving the show.
Whitney made the revelation during Sunday night’s show as a character read out a newspaper headline, as seen in footage released by TMZ.
“What is that?” she said, pointing to the open paper. “‘Whitney’…Let’s take a look. ‘Whitney Leavitt announces she’s stepping away from The Secret Life of Mormon Wives.'”
As the audience cheered following the announcement, the Dancing with the Stars alum turned to the audience and acknowledged the moment with open arms.
Whitney’s news comes after she had already hinted that she was considering leaving Mormon Wives to focus on other activities.
“I’m thinking about it in real time,” she said in a March 16 interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
