At one point, Blunt took a break from acting to spend more time at home with her children.
“I feel like when kids are little, there’s a foundation for a really important day,” she said on a 2024 episode of “Table for Two with Bruce Bozzi.” “It’s, ‘Can you wake me up? Can you take me to school? Can you pick me up? Can I put you to bed?'” I just needed to have enough time for all of them, and I felt that in my bones. ”
For Blunt, being away from filming for long periods of time had a “mental toll”.
“I feel very guilty,” she continued. “I think it’s probably true for all mothers. We tend to have bad feelings for wanting something other than being a mother. I’m a big supporter of that. I’m a big supporter of women being ambitious. I love the word ambition. It’s just a dream with a purpose and that’s it.”
And juggling schedules is something she and Krasinski work on as a team.
“No mother or father is to blame,” he said on a 2024 episode of Pop Culture Moms. “It’s our family. We’re all in this together. But I’ll tell you it’s hard. We’ve talked a lot with our kids. First and foremost, when we have to go out for work, some of us don’t go geographically, but sometimes our parents’ jobs take us until 8 or 10 p.m. or we go on business trips on the weekends. So we’re together in a lot of ways as parents.”
