Like the Argentine national team, Mbappé broke or equaled several records at this World Cup. Here we introduce his amazing achievements in North America.

french all tI top scorer
Mbappé needed just one appearance in the World Cup to become France’s top scorer. The 27-year-old scored in France’s opening game against Senegal to move past Olivier Giroud into the top spot.
The Real Madrid forward currently has 64 goals alone for France, while Giroud has 57.
Thierry Henry is third with 51 international goals, while Antoine Griezmann is fourth with 44.
France’s top scorer at the World Cup
Unsurprisingly, Mbappé is France’s top scorer at the World Cup.
His goal against Senegal was his 14th World Cup goal, surpassing Juste Fontaine’s previous record of 13, set in the 1958 World Cup.
The number 10 went on to score six more goals to lead the way.

Most goals without penalties in a World Cup
Mbappe’s goal against Morocco on Thursday ensured he is now tied with Messi for the most non-penalty goals in a World Cup.
Both players have now scored 17 non-penalty goals across all World Cup appearances.
Mbappe’s goal in Boston also increased his total to 20 World Cup goals, one behind Messi on the all-time list.
Most goals in World Cup finals
Mbappe’s first goal against Sweden broke another record, making the Frenchman the top scorer in the World Cup finals. He also surpassed Brazilian greats Leonidas and Ronaldo in the all-time record.
The talisman scored again against Sweden, followed by goals against Paraguay and Morocco, and is currently at the top of the World Cup finals with 12 goals.
Target contribution record
Mbappe provided an assist for Ousmane Dembele against Morocco, making the world star the first player to score 11 goals directly in two different World Cups.
At the 2022 Qatar World Cup, he reached double digits with eight goals and two assists, and he increased those numbers even further in this tournament.
Mbappe became the first player since records began in 1966 to achieve the feat of making 10 or more contributions in two separate competitions.

France World Cup matches
Mbappé currently holds the record for France’s most appearances in World Cup finals.
He appeared in 20 finals alongside Hugo Lloris, making him the youngest player in history to reach the milestone.
There is hope that that record will be broken next week as Mbappe is likely to be the first name on the team sheet for the semi-final.
