Utah Jazz guard Trey Alexander was carried off the court on a stretcher after apparently injuring his side while walking to the basket during an NBA Summer League game against the Chicago Bulls.
Alexander, who signed a two-way contract with Utah last week, was driving to the basket during Monday night’s game when he collided with the Bulls’ Caleb Wilson. After throwing the ball toward the hoop, he went behind the basket, clutching his side or abdomen. He then fell to the ground and appeared to be in great pain.

The 23-year-old was carried off the court at the Thomas & Mack Center on a stretcher. The incident occurred with just over two minutes left in the fourth quarter.
There was no immediate word from the Jazz regarding Alexander’s injury.
Alexander played three seasons at Creighton University, skipping his final year of eligibility to turn pro. The Rookie of the Year in the 2024-2025 season of the G League, the NBA’s minor league, played in 24 games with the Denver Nuggets that season and nine games with the New Orleans Pelicans last season.
Under his current contract, Alexander will play for the Jazz and their G League affiliate, the Salt Lake City Stars.
