Hollywood is remembering Sam Neill.
After the Jurassic Park actor, who played Dr. Alan Grant in the Dinosaur movie series, passed away on July 13 at the age of 78, many of his friends and former colleagues shared memories and reflected on his remarkable life and career.
Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow wrote on Instagram: “Sam Neill was such a soulful and beautiful man.” “He was a friend and ally during difficult times, and his strength gave us all strength. I will never forget his serenity, his love of wine, and the calm sense of security he brought to his characters. It’s not every time in your life that you get to be friends with a legend, and I will be forever grateful.”
Toni Collette, who co-starred with Neil in Dirty Deeds and A Long Way Down, paid tribute to her longtime friend with touching words.
“I love you, dear Sam,” she wrote on Instagram, posting a throwback selfie. “You are a hero. You are a legend. You are a lover. Our great friend. You are sorely missed already. Carry on in peace wherever you are.”
The Wayward actress continued to reflect on Neil’s accomplishments by resharing several posts about him to her Instagram stories.
