Shaynel Jones says her heart is ‘shattered’ after husband Uche Oje’s death

Seven months later, today Jenna and Sheinelle together–host’s husband Uche Oje died at age 45 After battling glioblastoma, she shared her insights on getting through her grief journey.
“When people see me on TV, they think, ‘Oh, she’s better than that,'” said Shinel, mother of her and Uche’s children. Karen16 and 13 year old twins Clara and Uche-said people “It’s like, ‘Oh no, no, I’m not better,'” he said in an interview published on January 14. Every day is like swimming in mud. ”
“Just doing normal things, like getting up and brushing your teeth, going to work, getting your kids to school, putting dinner on the table, whatever it is, is very difficult to do when you’re grieving,” she continued. “I really had to do the work. I realize that I’m carrying two things. I’m carrying this sadness and I’m also carrying this joy. I said it months ago and I’ll say it now. I’m fighting for joy.”
