
Ticket prices for Round of 16 games at Seattle Stadium have fallen 27 percent over the past three days.

Ticket prices continue to drop sharply in the hours leading up to Monday’s Soccer World Cup Round of 16 match between the United States and Belgium at Seattle Stadium.
Admission prices had fallen to $1,508 as of 1pm ET (17:00 GMT), according to ticket tracking service TicketData.com. This represents a 27% decrease over the past three days. After reaching $3,115 shortly after the matchup was decided on July 1st, the entry price fell to $1,283 by Sunday morning.

Prices rebounded a bit through Sunday, reaching $1,788, but have fallen again since Monday morning.
It follows the flow of other Round of 16 matches. Admission prices for England’s win over Mexico in Mexico City on Sunday night were $3,820 when tracking stopped four hours before kick-off, but other remaining matches saw significant price reductions.
Admission fees for Tuesday’s game between Argentina and Egypt in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, have dropped from $1,599 on July 4 to $1,378. The Switzerland-Colombia game, played on the same day in Vancouver, Canada, became the cheapest of the Round of 16 games, falling from $972 to $719 over the past two days.
Meanwhile, another match between Portugal and Spain, played in Dallas, Texas, USA on Monday, did not see a sharp drop from $1,367 to $1,311.
Average admission prices across Round of 16 games have fallen an average of 3% over the past three days and 8% over the past week.
The steep reduction in admission prices for the U.S. vs. Belgium match is somewhat surprising considering the Red Devils’ base camp is located at the Sounders FC Performance Center, just 16 kilometers (10 miles) south of Seattle Stadium.
Belgium will play their third game in Seattle on Monday after a 1-1 draw with Egypt in the group stage and a dramatic 3-2 come-from-behind victory over Senegal in the Round of 32.
The winner of Monday’s game in Seattle will play the winner of Portugal vs. Spain on Friday in Los Angeles.
