Taylor Swift explains ‘huge’ 1,000-person guest list for Travis Kelsey’s wedding
Taylor Swift knows it’s great to throw a big party.
Before marrying Grammy Award winner Travis Kelsey in a huge wedding ceremony (which reportedly boasted a 1,000-person guest list) on July 3 at New York City’s Madison Square Garden, she shared insight into why she’s always ready when it comes to having a “big” celebration.
“I’m really looking forward to it. I know it’s going to be fun to plan, because I think the only stressful weddings are the ones where money is low and people are on a bubble,” Swift said during an appearance on The Graham Norton Show last October. “And you have to assess or evaluate your relationship with them to determine whether they should be there or not. I’m not going to do that.”
Rather than stressing about who should be on the guest list, Swift chose to eliminate any awkwardness among the crowd by inviting “everyone I’ve ever talked to.”
“It’s like, ‘Oh, we had to be together eight times.’ Like, ‘We were together five times in the bubble,'” she continued. “You don’t have to think about it. It’ll be fun.”
