“A few months ago, we lost our baby in the third trimester,” Tara told The News on May 1. The Olympic gold medalist, who welcomed two-year-old Georgie in 2023, said of the challenges her family faced during this pregnancy: “From the long process of finding a surrogate mother, to the setbacks with medical clearance, to the failed transfer, to this loss… it hasn’t been easy.”
She thanked her surrogate mothers and said they would be “forever connected.”
“The woman who carried our baby (our angel) will always hold a special place in my heart and I feel incredibly lucky,” she continued. “And for my first surrogate mother, who continued to support me from afar during this second journey.”
