The New England Patriots will face the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl LX.
This is a rematch of the 2015 Super Bowl, which New England won 28-24 at University of Phoenix Stadium to claim its fourth title.
The Seahawks are looking for revenge after an 11-year hiatus and are considered the favorites to win a second Vince Lombardi Trophy.
If successful, it would be the first time since 2014, when they defeated the Denver Broncos 43-8 at MetLife Stadium.
How are the Super Bowl teams decided?
There were 14 teams participating in the NFL playoffs, with seven teams from each conference qualifying for the playoffs.
Four division champions from the National Football Conference (NFC), four teams from the American Football Conference (AFC), and six wild-card teams competed in a single-elimination tournament for the main event.
The wild card teams were determined by the three best-performing non-division winners in each conference.
The final four teams played their AFC Championship Game and NFC Championship Game on January 25th, with the winner earning a ticket to the Super Bowl.
The New England Patriots narrowly defeated the Denver Broncos 10-7 in the low-scoring AFC Championship Game, and the Seattle Seahawks defeated the Los Angeles Rams 31-27 in the NFC Championship Game.

Who are the superstar players on each team?
Drake Maye (Patriots)
Maye’s rise from a struggling rookie season to a franchise quarterback is one of the most compelling stories in the NFL in recent years.
He spearheaded the AFC Championship victory over the Denver Broncos with a stellar performance, leading the Pats to a 14-3 record.
Maye passed for 4,394 yards, 31 touchdowns, and eight interceptions during the 2025 regular season, earning second-team All-Pro honors.
The former North Carolina Tar Heel also led the league in completion percentage (72.0 percent) and passer rating (113.5).
Maye will be the second-youngest quarterback to start in a Super Bowl at 23 years and 162 days old, following in the legendary footsteps of former Miami Dolphins quarterback Dan Marino.
Not only is he a mainstay of the Pats’ offense, but he’s also a key cornerstone of their amazing comeback.

Jackson Smith-Nigiba (Seahawks)
Smith-Njiba’s combination of league-leading stats and big-game temperament has made him a breakout star in the Seahawks’ offense.
He led the league in receiving yards with 1,793 while also breaking the Seahawks’ single-season record of 1,303, set by DK Metcalf in 2020.
The former Ohio State Buckeye was fourth in total receptions with 119 and tied for third with 10 touchdowns.
The wide receiver had a particularly memorable performance in the NFC Championship Game against the Los Angeles Rams. He had 10 catches for 153 yards and a touchdown.
There has been a lot of speculation in the media that he could break Jerry Rice’s 37-year Super Bowl receiving yards record of 215, which would be a huge step forward if the Seahawks win their second title.

The Seattle Seahawks are touted as the overwhelming favorites to win their second title.

Donald Trump attended last year, but will not be attending this year, becoming the first sitting US president to do so.

Green Day has long opposed President Trump, going so far as to change the lyrics of their most popular songs to show their resentment towards the administration.
At the 68th Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles this past weekend, Bad Bunny spoke out against recent raids by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) after accepting the award for Best Musica Urbana Album.
“Before I say thank God, I’m quitting ICE. We’re not savages, we’re not animals, we’re not aliens. We’re human beings, we’re Americans,” he said in his acceptance speech.
