We are mourning the heartbreaking death of Steve Harvey.
The Family Feud host gave a touching tribute to his father-in-law, James Bridges Sr., who passed away on June 1 at the age of 91, according to ABC 24 Memphis.
“Yesterday we buried one of the greatest people I’ve ever met, Marjorie’s father, James Bridges Sr.,” Steve wrote in an Instagram post on June 5 with a photo of his smiling father-in-law. “But for me, it’s Pop Bridges.”
The TV personality went on to thank James for his “faith, example of fatherhood and example of family.”
Steve’s wife, Marjorie Harvey, thanked her husband for the heartfelt post about her father, writing: “Thank you my love,” along with an admiring hand emoji.
The couple, who also share children Lori, 29, Jason, 31, and Morgan, 41, with Steve also fathering four other children from a previous marriage, have been supported by loved ones since their bereavement.
“Oh I’m so sorry to hear this. A very beautiful person sent his condolences to you and your family,” 21 Jump Street alum Holly Robinson Peete commented on Steve’s post, while Chrisley Knows Best star Todd Chrisley wrote:God bless you and your family. ”
