Duchess Kate makes rare appearance with royal family at memorial festival

The son of Norway’s Crown Princess Mette-Marit before her marriage to Crown Prince Haakon was found guilty of rape on June 14 and sentenced to four years in prison, according to the Associated Press.
According to the outlet, Hoiby was found guilty on two of the four rape charges he faced and acquitted on the remaining two. He was also convicted of intimate relationship assault and abuse.
In addition to the four-year prison sentence, the young royal was also ordered to pay restitution to his victims.
His lawyer told Mr. E! News that Mr Hoiby plans to appeal part of the sentence, saying it “relates to two rape allegations and one so-called domestic violence allegation”.
The 29-year-old is accused of sexually assaulting four women between 2018 and 2024 who were either asleep or unable to resist, the paper said.
