The State Department announced Friday that Secretary of State Marco Rubio will visit Israel early next week to discuss Iran and other regional issues.

The announcement of Mr. Rubio’s visit comes amid growing concerns that the United States will launch an attack on Iran.

MS Now reported Friday that Omani Foreign Minister Badr al-Busaidi will meet with Vice President J.D. Vance and other American officials in Washington on Friday for “previously unreported talks to prevent war with Iran.”

Mr. al-Busaidi is mediating negotiations between the United States and Iran to defuse tensions over U.S. demands that the Islamic Republic curb its nuclear program.

Mr. Rubio is scheduled to visit Israel on Monday and Tuesday, State Department spokesman Tommy Piggott said.

“The Secretary will discuss a wide range of regional priorities, including Iran, Lebanon, and continued efforts to implement President Trump’s 20-Point Peace Plan for Gaza,” Piggott said in a statement.
