What are the benefits of red light therapy?
“Red light has been studied for years and has been shown to be effective against fine lines and wrinkles. Wrinkles, skin tone, acne, etc.,” says Dr. Kwan.
With continued use, red light reduces the signs of aging, keeps your skin brighter and more even, and helps manage breakouts.
Is red light therapy effective?
The short answer is yes, but there are some caveats. Not all red light therapy devices are created equal. According to Dr. Kwan, “Masks are better than canes because they cover the entire face at once.”
Dr. Kwan acknowledges that red light masks are the most effective method of home red light therapy, but says, “The mask must have enough energy to receive effective treatment.”
