“I think it’s important to stay soft and vulnerable and be comfortable saying, ‘Guys, the King hurts, it’s not real, it’s not true.’ Don’t feel like you have to be so strong for us. We know you’re strong, and it’s okay to be soft if you need to,” the House alum advised.
After all, amidst rumors that she and Don’t Worry Darling star Florence Pugh were feuding, not to mention the spitting incident between Chris Pine and Harry Styles, Wilde felt she had to just keep moving forward in her “King Banana” days.
“I have never felt so alienated from someone who is in the public eye,” the mother of two explained. “It was also very strange to see complete fiction treated like fact.”
And it’s been a complicated experience for her, having to avoid drama, especially since speculation about what’s going on behind the scenes has been swirling.
“I wanted to say, ‘Can I just talk to people?'” Wilde admitted. “Can I say, ‘That’s not true?'” And I was like, “No, that’s not helpful.” And it was really hard. ”
