Olivia Wilde isn’t worried about making headlines on the red carpet, darling.
The Don’t Worry Darling star addressed criticism of her appearance at the San Francisco International Film Festival on April 24 after a video of her appeared online.
As her brother Charles Cockburn asked in a video he shared to his Instagram Stories on May 3, “Olivia Wilde, are you willing to address the recent rumors that you are a resurrected corpse?”
Editing a photo of Olivia from the SFGATE interview that went viral during the event (she wore a drop-waisted black skirt and white T-shirt) next to a snap of Gollum from The Lord of the Rings, the Tron: Legacy actress responded to what online users perceived as her slimmer look.
“Listen, it’s a fisheye lens,” Olivia explained of her unusual appearance. “And I’ll admit, was that my best angle? Was that my best look ever? No, it’s an amazing image.”
“I don’t know why I got so close to the camera,” she continued with a laugh. “There was no need to do that. That’s not true.”
Emphasizing her point further, the 42-year-old quipped: “I’m not dead.”
She also made fun of her brother’s line of questioning, writing on the screen, “Leave it to my brother to give you maximum ST.”
