Egyptian international Mohamed Salah is set to return to Liverpool before the end of the season, with his exit from Anfield looming.

Liverpool manager Arne Slott says Mohamed Salah “deserved a big sending off” and admitted he expects the departed superstar to return from injury before the end of the season.
The Egyptian forward, who is due to leave Anfield at the end of the season, was feared to play his last game for the Reds after being forced off in last weekend’s 3-1 home win against Crystal Palace.

Salah applauded the fans and left the pitch to a standing ovation.
Liverpool confirmed on Wednesday that Salah, 33, had suffered a “minor muscle injury” and was expected to return before the end of the season.
With three consecutive wins, they are firmly on track to qualify for next season’s Champions League and will face Manchester United on Sunday.
“We expect him to be back towards the end of the season, but he won’t be back before Sunday,” Liverpool manager Slott said in Friday’s pre-match press conference.
“It’s a huge relief that his injury is minor and that he can play for us and that he can play in the World Cup.
“And if there’s any player who deserves a big red card, it’s definitely Mo.”
Salah has scored 257 goals in 440 appearances since joining Anfield in 2017, placing him behind Ian Rush and Roger Hunt on Liverpool’s top scorer list.
He had a public altercation with Slott in December, and declared he had “nothing to do with” Slott after being dropped for three consecutive games.
However, the Liverpool manager later said there were “no issues to be solved” with the forward returning to the team.
Liverpool, whose Premier League title defense has collapsed dramatically since late September, have four games remaining, starting with the match against United.
Clubs from the Saudi Professional League and Major League Soccer (MLS) in the US are reportedly involved in a move to sign Salah.
