This is an age-old story. Becoming a parent often brings with it a new and limitless capacity for love.
Nevertheless, Millie Bobby Brown and her husband Jake Bongiovi took some time to fully understand their first child, a baby girl, whom they adopted in 2025.
In fact, she said no one could have prepared her for the “love” she felt for her daughter.
“People say they love their children,” the Stranger Things star said June 1 in a conversation with UNICEF. “I couldn’t do it. I don’t understand how something like that could happen in my mind. The feeling is so overwhelming. I just don’t understand it.”
The pair, 22 and Jake, 24, are new to parenthood, but they have a huge support system in their respective mothers, Kelly Brown and Dorothea Hurley.
“Obviously, when you see them doing something, you think, ‘Is that normal? Do they do that?'” Millie explained. “And I call my mom, and she’s like my 9-1-1. She’s like, ‘Mom, did I do this? Did my brother do this?'” And she’s like, “Oh, that’s totally normal.” They do that all the time. ”
