Mormon Wives star Mikayla Matthews says she’s ‘barely surviving’ after being diagnosed with chronic illness
Mikayla Matthews may not be a Utahn anymore.
The Secret Life of a Mormon Wife star shared the process of moving to Hawaii to alleviate the symptoms of her ongoing chronic inflammatory response syndrome.
“Travel with me to heal your skin,” Mikayla wrote on the screen in an April 29 Instagram video.
“Finally, it’s time to tell you all where I’m moving to,” she added in a video featuring her travel journey. “We’re going to Hawaii.”
The video shows Mikayla, who has children Beckham, 8, Heaven, 6, Tommy, 4, and Lottie, 9 months, with her estranged husband Jace Terry, traveling to a new destination with her two young children.
The reality star, who revealed her diagnosis with CIRS in March, revealed that she suffered multiple skin irritations on the plane to the island, but nothing brought her down. In her words, “I’m so excited to be here. It’s a positive vibe.”
“A new chapter officially begins,” Mikayla, 26, wrote in the caption of her post. “How amazing is this resort in the most beautiful location!?! @thewestinmaui.”
