Ducati’s Marc Marquez claimed a thrilling victory in the Czech MotoGP on Sunday, with the seven-time MotoGP champion overtaking teammate Francesco Bagnaia in the closing stages to seal victory at the Autodrome Brno.
Starting from fourth on the grid, Marquez continued to chase Bagnaia for most of the race until he made a decisive move on lap 16. He then broke away in the closing stages and secured victory after a controlled final stint, securing back-to-back wins after winning in Hungary earlier this month.

Bagnaia, who was aiming for his first two consecutive wins of the season by winning Saturday’s sprint, was unable to react, and on lap 18, pole sitter Ai Ogura (Trackhouse Racing) pushed Marquez past him. Ogura finished in second place, 0.421 seconds behind Marquez.
The Italian crossed the line in third place despite pressure from VR46 Racing Team’s Fabio Di Giannantonio in the closing stages, with KTM’s Pedro Acosta retiring on the final lap with bike trouble.
Championship leader Marco Bezzecchi has been suspended from Sunday’s race after getting into an altercation with marshals after a crash during Saturday’s sprint race.
Bezzecchi’s suspension allowed Aprilia teammate Jorge Martin to close the gap in the rider’s title race to just eight points (180 to 172). Despite a slow start to the 2026 MotoGP season, Marquez has climbed to 140 points, just 40 points behind Bezzechi.
