Marquez, riding a Ducati, also won Saturday’s sprint race, further cementing his reputation as the ‘King of the Ring’.
“(I’m) very, very happy. You know, it was a special weekend,” the 33-year-old said.
“I was very focused because… if we want a chance to win a championship, we need to attack here.
“That’s what we’ve done in the recent races. And yes, I’m very happy to have achieved 10 wins in the MotoGP class here at the Sachsenring.”
Marquez reignited his title challenge just before the summer break, closing the gap to compatriot Jorge Martin, who finished fifth on Sunday, to 18 points and is now firmly in contention to retain the title.
In the early exchanges, the Catalan got into a battle with his brother Alex Marquez, who had started second, and the Ducati Gresini rider slipped off his bike after 10 laps.
