Nicole Teal’c and Christopher Teal’c fell in love again at first sight.
The Married at First Sight alums, who met and married during season 16 of the 2022 reality TV series “Lifetime,” revealed they welcomed twin babies, daughter Sophia and son Anonymous, on January 5.
“You think you know what love is, but when you have a child, you experience a completely different kind of deep love that you never thought existed,” Christopher said in a statement to E! News on January 14. “It feels amazing. Nicole is already an amazing mom. I’m so proud of her and what she’s already done for our family.”
And while the couple couldn’t be more excited about growing their family, they also shared that Nicole’s pregnancy journey wasn’t completely smooth sailing. In fact, at about 17 weeks into her pregnancy, baby Anthony was diagnosed with congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH), a condition in which a hole in the diaphragm causes abdominal organs to move into the chest cavity, compressing the lungs.
“Pregnancy, especially having one sick baby, was the biggest and hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life,” Nicole reflected in her statement. “Every day I thought about why my son got sick and how I would deal with it when the time came.”
