US President Donald Trump said on Saturday night that he would soon consider a new Iranian plan but “I can’t imagine it would be accepted.”

“They talked to us about the concept of the agreement. They’ll give us the exact wording,” he told reporters aboard Air Force One in Florida.

Iran submitted a 14-point response to the U.S. proposal, Tasnim news agency, affiliated with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, reported on Saturday.

Tasnim news agency reported that the US has proposed a two-month ceasefire, but Iran believes that “the issue should be resolved within 30 days” and that negotiations should focus on “ending the war” rather than extending the ceasefire.

Iranian officials have not yet publicly commented on the details of the reported response.

The president also walked back his remarks Friday night, saying, “Frankly, we might be better off not agreeing at all. Do you want to know the truth? Because we can’t let this go on like this.”

“I never said that,” Trump said Saturday.

“I said if we leave now, it will take 20 years to rebuild. But we are not going to leave now,” he told reporters.

New law: Iran’s parliament is poised to approve a law imposing restrictions on ships allowed to navigate the Strait of Hormuz, Iranian state television Press TV reported on Saturday. Arms sales: The Trump administration is rapidly moving forward with billions of dollars in arms sales to allies in the Middle East, according to a statement released by the US State Department. The total value of the weapons is more than $8 billion. Activist in hospital: The family and foundation of Iranian Nobel Peace Prize laureate Narges Mohammadi say the human rights defender is not receiving proper treatment and his condition has not improved since being transferred from prison to hospital. Strikes continue: Despite a ceasefire declaration in Lebanon, Israel and Hezbollah continued to attack each other on Saturday, according to statements from both sides.
