Kate Middleton and Jessie J’s emotional moment bonded over cancer
Kate Middleton and Jessie J have a special connection.
Duchess Kate and the “Bang Bang” singer shared a sweet hug after the Royal Variety Performance at the Royal Albert Hall on Nov. 19. After the show, Duchess Kate and Prince William met with several musicians, including Jesse.
During the meeting, Duchess Kate, wearing a green velvet dress by Talbot Ranhoff, spoke to Jesse, 37, before hugging. Shortly afterward, Jesse reflected on the moments they shared as cancer survivors.
“Mom to Mom, she just recently had cancer and I just wanted to give her a hug,” the “Price Tag” singer told The Independent. “We realized that it’s not an easy thing to get through, especially in the public eye.”
Jessie publicly shared her breast cancer diagnosis in June. Meanwhile, the Princess of Wales revealed in March 2024 that she is undergoing treatment for an undisclosed cancer. Duchess Kate, who has children Prince Gyorgy (12), Princess Charlotte (10) and Prince Louis (7) with Prince William, confirmed in January that she was in remission.
