Jonathan Bailey was revealed as People’s Sexiest Man Alive in 2025 on the November 3 episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
“It’s the honor of a lifetime,” the Bridgerton star told Jimmy (who himself was this year’s sexiest game show host) during the episode, before quipping, “Jimmy, thank you so much for saying no to come here.”
While Jonathan told Jimmy that he tried and failed to leak the news to his friends before the announcement, “They were like, ‘Yeah, yeah, yeah. Affirm it.'” — the Wicked: For Good star can hardly blame them. After all, he’s still scratching his head about the title.
“Obviously, I’m incredibly honored,” he told People after receiving the honor. “And that’s completely unreasonable.”
As for whether he thinks his friends and family will start treating him differently, Jonathan joked to Jimmy, “Well, I hope so!”
As the new Sexiest Man Alive, the 37-year-old officially dethroned 2024 winner John Krasinski, who was shocked that he won the title.
