This article contains spoilers for Season 5 of The Bear.
The oven has been shut down at The Bear. Well, figuratively.
The FX show starring Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Liza Colon-Zayas, Lionel Boyce, and Abby Elliott has officially ended after five seasons. And while it seemed like Carmy’s cooking baby might have no future, battling a flood, a broken oven, and the end of funding, Bear proved he had the chops to go the distance (literally).
The restaurant was ultimately saved by a perfect storm of good fortune. Not only does linecock Evra (Edwin Lee Gibson) come up with a business plan for franchising The Beef that will lead to financial success for the team, but it turns out that the phone call that Carmy has been avoiding all season came from an important caller: the real star man.
In fact, The Bear’s staff thought they were serving Starman during the Flood from Hell service, but it turns out that the real Starman was a man named Peter Clarke, who had actually eaten at the restaurant months earlier, unbeknownst to the team at the time. (Oops.)
