Music producer deletes Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey’s wedding invitation thinking it’s spam
This would be the last time Jacknife Lee would dismiss a message.
Taylor Swift, a music producer who worked with her on her 2012 song “The Last Time,” deleted an invitation to her July 3 wedding to Grammy Award winner Travis Kelce because she mistakenly believed it was spam, his wife has revealed.
“‘Wait, why weren’t we invited?'” Melissa Garner Lee recalled asking Jacknife (real name Garrett Lee) in a Huffington Post op-ed published July 8 after seeing photos of the couple’s famous friends attending the Madison Square Garden wedding. “‘There’s a thousand people there!'”
But Melissa said her husband of 32 years didn’t really care.
“‘I got a text message and thought it was spam,'” she remembered him replying. “Yeah, remember when I said I got an email from her manager? But I didn’t respond to it. It didn’t sound like him.”
“I thought someone was trying to hack into my address book or something,” Jacknife continued, before apologizing for the gaffe and explaining why New York City was “really hot.” As he says, “But why do you want to go?”
