intel The company’s stock rose 14% on Tuesday, hitting a new all-time high as the chipmaker continued its historic performance from April.
This spike is due to a report from Bloomberg. apple We are in negotiations with both Intel and samsung iPhone makers have long relied on American chips to produce the main processors for their devices in the United States. Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., Ltd..
Intel and Samsung declined to comment on the report. Apple did not respond to a request for comment.
The gains come on the heels of Intel’s best month in 55 years on the Nasdaq. The stock rose 114% in April, pushing its market cap to more than $470 billion.
Several key partnerships helped fuel the rise. An American semiconductor company announced an expansion of its partnership with the United States. googleand will be joining Elon Musk’s Terafab project in April.
Intel also announced last month that it would buy back its Fab 34 chip facility in Ireland for $14.2 billion.
The rise of artificial intelligence is driving new demands on Intel’s central processing units. At the company’s first quarter results conference, CEO Lip Vu Tan called the CPU “an essential foundation in the AI era.”
The surge marks a sharp turnaround for chipmakers, which have struggled to keep up with the AI race amid significant manufacturing delays. The company is now up more than 330% since the US government invested $8.9 billion last August to take a 10% stake in the company.
Nvidia The announcement of a $5 billion investment in September also spurred a reversal in stock prices.
President Donald Trump praised the rise in stock prices last week.
In a post on Truth Social, President Trump wrote, “Intel stock continues to rise. I am extremely proud of that company, as its stock alone is responsible for bringing more than $30 billion to the United States in the past 90 days.”
“Congratulations to Intel on such a great job, and more importantly, congratulations to the American people for making such a great investment!”
