Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes collaborate for the first time in over 10 years
For Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes, togetherness wasn’t measured in red carpets or photo opportunities.
“I’ve always had clear boundaries when it comes to my husband and kids,” Mendes, who shares daughters Esmeralda, 11, and Amada, 9, with Gosling, explained in April 2020 in response to an Instagram commenter who wondered why she didn’t post photos of her family. “Of course I will talk with limitations, but I will not post pictures of our daily life.”
Not to mention, her kids are too young to “understand what posting images of themselves actually means…I don’t post images until they’re old enough to consent. For Ryan and I, this method works well to keep things private,” she continued.
Image-wise, their children remain off-limits, but Mendes occasionally seems happy to talk about the joys and challenges of parenthood.
But in recent years, her relationship with Gosling, her partner since they met on the production of The Place Beyond the Pines in 2011, has become less off-limits.
