Summer House: Bravo execs talk about what’s next for Season 11 in the wake of Amanda Batula and West Wilson drama
When one summerhouse door closes, another opens.
At least that’s how Hannah Berner sees her departure from the Bravo series in 2021, five years after leaving the reality show.
“It was like, ‘We all need to be friends,'” the 34-year-old recalled on the June 8 episode of Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast about her exit from Season 5. ”Not everyone got along. It was a choice. ”
At the time, Hannah had a heated feud with Summer House OG Kyle Cooke, and the drama spilled over into other friendships in the house.
Hanna went on to say, “I was meant to be the one who failed,” pointing out that the station’s decision to part ways with her was actually a blessing in disguise. “I just want to say, getting fired equals star power.”
The stand-up comedian continued, “There’s a fine line between love and hate. When I got fired, they said, ‘You’re too much for reality TV.'” I thought it was symbolic. ”
Despite her past drama, Hannah, who participated in Season 3 of the show with her BFF Paige DeSorbo, said the experience “learned so much” and inspired her to take her career to the next level.
