Eric Bieniemy’s family is facing an unimaginable tragedy.
Mia Bieniemy, the wife of the Kansas City Chiefs’ offensive coordinator, was hospitalized on July 26 after being shot by her son Elijah Zion Bieniemy at their home in Ashburn, Virginia. You can check it on the news.
“At approximately 7:32 p.m., deputies responded to a call of a shooting,” the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement on July 26, without naming Mia. “Police located an adult female suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of serious injuries.”
The couple’s 27-year-old son was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, use of a firearm as a felon, and discharging a firearm in a dwelling.
Elijah was transported to the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center and is being held without bail, according to jail records obtained by E! news.
The statement continued: “While the investigation is ongoing, there is not believed to be any threat to the public.”
Eh! The News has reached out to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office and the public defender representing Elijah for comment, but has not yet received a response.
