Samodanova denied her ex-girlfriend’s claims and insisted that Hong Kong was Olivia’s home.
“Mr. Savchenko’s attorney’s statement misrepresents the reality of our family,” she told TMZ on July 15. “As Olivia’s primary caregiver, I raised her every day while Gleb worked full-time on DWTS. Olivia is now thriving in Hong Kong. She attends top schools and is an elite ballroom dancer.”
“Gleb’s actions directly jeopardize her future, education, and athletic progress. California has no jurisdiction over our daughter,” Samodanova continued. “Hong Kong is Olivia’s permanent and legal residence. Ironically, Gleb himself also has a Hong Kong permanent resident card.”
Savchenko claimed in his filing that Olivia “was able to travel to California to meet him” in June and July, while Samodanova claimed that Olivia was “scheduled to return to Hong Kong on June 5, but her father illegally canceled her ticket without my permission.”
The 43-year-old added: “This is an unfair international detention.”
Samodanova concluded her statement by claiming that her ex-girlfriend’s emergency application is “.”“This was a hasty attempt to circumvent proper law,” he said, before asking the court to “stay the temporary order and allow it to continue so that my attorney can present Olivia’s permanent record through the correct legal channels.”
