The New York Knicks are going to challenge for the NBA Championship.
The team won the Eastern Conference title in Game 4 against the Cleveland Cavaliers on May 25th and advanced to the finals. This was the Knicks’ first appearance in the Finals since 1999, and they received some celebratory support from their die-hard fans.
Of course, that includes Timothée Chalamet. The Oscar nominee, who sat courtside with his girlfriend, reality star Kylie Jenner, throughout the playoffs, hugged and congratulated the players after the big win. And while fans may call Chalamet by name, the team calls him “the Knicks’ biggest hype man.”
And he proved that nickname true after this breakthrough moment.
“That’s it,” Chalamet wrote on his Instagram Stories after his win, saying, “Final to the Mother King.”
Tracy Morgan was also in the zone when it came to soaking up the moment. In fact, a video shared by ESPN showed the comedian crying tears of joy. Superfans Spike Lee, Fat Joe and Ben Stiller also enjoyed the ball.
“It’s 1 a.m.,” the Zoolander alum wrote to X. “The Knicks are Eastern Conference champions.”
