Eswatini said Monday that 10 3rd Country Nationals were deported from the US and added to the first group of five deportees received in July.

The southern African country announced on Sunday night it expects to receive 11 deportees from the United States in October under an agreement with the Trump administration. It did not give them their nationality.

“The Correctional Services Under Ma (HMCS) is confirming the arrival of 10 third-country citizens from the United States,” the government office said in a statement Monday.

He added that individuals will be kept in correctional facilities until repatriated to their home country, healthy and undergoing the admission process.

There were no immediate statements from the Trump administration.

President Donald Trump aims to illegally deport millions of US immigrants, and his administration has sought to step up removals to third countries as part of its crackdown.

The first five immigrants deported to Esvatini this year came from Vietnam, Jamaica, Laos, Cuba and Yemen. One man from Jamaican has already been repatriated to help his government.

The other two are expected to be deported soon, a statement from Eswatini said.

Esvatini, a small mountain kingdom adjacent to South Africa, has not disclosed terms of business with the Trump administration and is facing lawsuits from local activists who claim it is illegal.

Legal and human rights activists are also protesting the treatment of retirees who were committed by the first group detained in isolated confinement.

“The HMC remains committed to the humanitarian treatment of all people in its detention,” the Department of Corrections said in its statement.
