Anna Nicole Smith’s daughter Dannielynn Birkhead makes her “Goth rock” debut; all eyes are on the 2026 Kentucky Derby
Dannielynn Birkhead may be stepping away from the spotlight.
The daughter of Larry Birkhead and the late Anna Nicole Smith has traditionally made an unusual public appearance with her father at the Kentucky Derby each year, but the pair have hinted that they may be calling it quits.
“She’s almost 20 years old, and there are people who are cooler than me,” Larry told Access Hollywood on May 2. “I think we’ve really done this and it’s a tradition and we don’t know if we’ll ever do it again. So this might be the end of our photo book. We don’t know. But if we don’t come back, we’ve got one hell of a scrapbook.”
Dannielynn, 19, who is majoring in forensic science and has just completed her first year at university, added that there was a very real possibility she would miss the Derby in the future.
“I feel like I want to step away a little bit,” she said. “I just want to focus more on school. After school, I want to focus on choosing a career and hanging out with my friends and loved ones.”
