Benedict Cumberbatch and wife Sophie Hunter enjoy a surprisingly unusual date night in New York
Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter are in the final stages.
The couple, who are parents to Christopher, 10, Hal, 8, and Finn, 6, made a rare public appearance at a screening of Benedict’s new film, The Thing with Feathers, in New York City on November 19th.
For the occasion, the Avengers actor, 49, kept it simple in a sleek dark suit paired with a white T-shirt. Meanwhile, Sophie, 47, wore a sequined mid-length number with matching heels.
Although the two are notoriously private about their romance, Benedict has shown glimpses of their connection over the years. He recently revealed the one rule he uses to keep his marriage afloat with his wife of 10 years.
“They get irritated when they’re away from home,” he said on the Aug. 28 episode of Josh Horowitz’s podcast “Happy Sad Confused.” “That pisses me off too, so we’re doing everything we can to make sure that doesn’t happen. It’s the two-week rule. And we’re doing our best to work close to home so I can go home or take them.”
