Every member of the Backstreet Boys knows that family is more important than life itself.
Bandmates Nick Carter, AJ McLean, Brian Littrell, Howie Dorow and Kevin Richardson have been on stage for 30 years, but they all stressed that becoming fathers has reshaped the way they look at their careers.
“It’s something we all share,” AJ, who shares daughters Elliott, 13, and Lyric, 9, with estranged wife Rochelle MacLean, exclusively told E! News at The One Party by Uber held in New York City on June 12th. “We know about balance now. Obviously family comes first. We try to balance work and personal life. When you’re on the road with your family, you’re all spending quality time together.”
Kevin, a father of two, agreed with him, saying, “Having kids has changed everything in our lives for the better.”
Nick, who has children Odin, 10, Saoirse, six, and Pearl, five, with wife Lauren Kit Carter, said:
Indeed, Howie, who has sons James, 17, and Holden, 13, with wife Lee Dorrow, pointed out that fatherhood has made them all become more “selfless” in their lives.
