Meanwhile, Alana and her sister Este Haim also joined in on the puns by wearing matching shirts that read “Nickleback” and “Nickle Kidman” respectively. (According to Vogue, Haim’s third sister, Danielle Haim, also attended the game, wearing her own custom Knicks T-shirt that read “Nicklas Cage.”)
“We were making puns and going back and forth,” Alana recalled. “We really wanted to have fun. We were so excited about going to the game and thought it would make people laugh, so we decided to put shirts on them and let them all wear them.”
And while her best friend Taylor may be a billionaire, a rep told Vogue that Alana bought the blue Gildan T-shirts at Michael’s Crafts Store for just $2.99 each and added orange screen-print puff ink to the text.
And how did Mariska get the matching T-shirt?
“I always bring an extra, but Taylor wanted to bring an extra to give to a friend,” Alana said. “And Mariska was so depressed. She’s such a great human being and I’m a huge fan of hers, so the fact that she wanted to wear my shirt too was insane.”
