But the declaration of love didn’t end there, as the Pumped Up Kicks musician wrote a song for their first dance called “Lovers in a Stream.”
“It was a surprise,” she said of the ballad. “Mark wrote, produced and sang this song. It was so surreal and the most beautiful gift I’ve ever received. It felt like I was floating in the air. It was the most magical moment I’ve ever experienced.”
And the magic continued throughout the year, with Garner winning her first Emmy for Ozark and belting out Foster in her acceptance speech, calling him “the love of my life.”

“After an incredibly surreal weekend, I took some time to process the past 24 hours and find a moment of quiet reflection,” he wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post in 2019. “I couldn’t be more proud of this girl. Congratulations to you, a beautiful human angel. It’s an immense joy to see you lifted up and recognized by your peers, the industry, and your fans.”
Mr Foster went on to say that his then-wife deserved “all the love and respect”.
“You are an incredibly special person,” he added. “I consider myself the luckiest man on earth to have a front row seat to see what you do while holding a bag of popcorn and wrapping your hand in mine.”
