Dwayne Johnson talks about his emotional performance with his daughters ahead of the premiere of ‘Moana’
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson Always remind the kids of how far they are going.
And after the girls Simone,twenty four, jasmine10, and Tiana8, joined him Moana star Katherine Lagaia Taking to the stage for a traditional Samoan Tauruga performance, the 54-year-old celebrated the opportunity to showcase Samoan common culture at the film’s July 7 premiere.
“The emotion I’m feeling is gratitude, and I’m careful with that word, but real pride,” he exclusively told E! news’ erin rim rose Premiering in Los Angeles. “We’re proud to see our Polynesian culture represented on the world’s largest platform – the big screen. Disney is a huge company that knows how to serve families around the world.”
Noting that he is the “proud father of a girl,” Johnson became emotional not only at his children’s performances, but also at LaGaia’s performance, which he praised as “our Moana.”
“This is her first[movie]work and there’s a lot of pressure on her,” he said of his 19-year-old co-star. “And I was so proud of her and it was so cool to see this Hollywood Bowl.”
