Chiefs’ Andy Reid addresses speculation that Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift’s wedding will be a distraction
Andy Reid knows Travis Kelce will play, play, play, play, no matter what.
That’s why the Kansas City Chiefs head coach isn’t concerned about his tight end preparing for his wedding to fiancée Taylor Swift ahead of the team’s 2026-2027 season.
“Listen, he’s been here most of the offseason, if not the entire offseason, and it’s good to have him here. He’s done the mandatory camp and he’s done a great job there, so it’s good to have him back and active. He’s very excited,” Reid told reporters on June 12.
Saying he wasn’t “distracted” by Kelce, the 68-year-old likened his experience at tight end to his own wedding to wife Tammy Reed in 1981.
“It’s like when I got married, my wife did everything for me. I was just following her lead. I showed up, right? So he might be working harder, but he seems to be pretty focused on this job as well,” Reid added.
As for whether the NFL coach received the coveted invitation to what is sure to be a grand celebration, he was modest.
